How to use it
Set the tempo, then compare the divisions against the rhythm you already have. Straight values land on the regular grid; dotted and triplet values create different repeat patterns. The useful choice is the one that leaves space for the next note, not the one with the most familiar label.
The hertz column is for anything that takes a rate rather than a time: LFOs, tremolo, auto-pan, and any modulation you want locked to the grid in a plug-in that has no tempo sync.
Reverb pre-delay and decay
The two reverb read-outs are rhythmic references, not acoustic predictions. A 1/64-note pre-delay is short enough to audition quickly against a transient; the bar-length figure gives you a musical scale for the decay control. Reverb algorithms define decay differently, so neither number guarantees where the audible tail will end.
Both need adjusting by ear against the actual material. A dense arrangement usually wants a shorter tail than the arithmetic suggests.
The arithmetic
One quarter note lasts 60000 ÷ BPMmilliseconds. Every other division is that value multiplied or divided by powers of two. A dotted note is one and a half times its straight length; a triplet is two thirds. Frequency in hertz is1000 ÷ ms.
